Luiz Suarez To Start Training Tomorrow And Get Presented On Monday

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has upheld Luis Suarez's four-month playing ban.

The sanction, handed out by FIFA after the forward was found guilty of biting Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay's group-stage game against Italy in the World Cup, was upheld in a hearing in Lausanne.

CAS did, however, rule that Suarez is now free to train with new club Barcelona, removing the much-discussed 'ban on footballing activities'.

Suarez will definitely miss 11 games for the Blaugrana. His availability for what would be the 12th – a clasico against Real Madrid – will depend on scheduling in La Liga.

The judgement comes one day after Premier League chief Richard Scudamore criticised Suarez's actions , saying: “We won’t miss him because there is only so long that we can go on defending the indefensible.”
