4-year-old girl takes 249 packs of Heroine to school, gives them out to her friends
A young girl handed out heroin to her classmates, the Delaware State Police said.
The mother of the 4-year-old girl, was arrested after her daughter brought heroin to her daycare and passed it out to other children.
Troopers were called to the child care center located on 2 Hickory Tree Lane in Selbyville around 11:40 a.m. on Monday, after daycare workers found some children with small bags containing a white substance.
The powdery substance was neatly packed inside small plastic bags. The teachers immediately took the small packets from the children and contacted the police.
Officers tested the substance and determined that it was heroin.
Police said that the 4-year-old girl found the small bags of heroin in a backpack that
her mother gave her after her backpack had been ruined by the family’s dog the night before the incident.
Several children who had contact with the drugs, were taken to a local hospital as a precaution and were released after being examined.
A total of 249 bags of heroin weighing 3,735 grams were found in the backpack.
The girl’s mother, Ashley Tull, 30, was taken into police custody. She faces drug charges and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Tull’s three children were placed with family members. She was ordered to have no contact with her children who are 9, 11 and 4 years old.
Tull was released after posting $6,000 bond. (WWWN)
