According to sky news:
It has been on the market in the bankrupt city, but nobody has come forward tobuy.
The home was initially listed for $5,000 (£3,100) then reduced to $3,000 (£1,800). Now the latest version of the Apple iPhone will do.
Real estate agent Larry Else told Fox News: "My client is overseas and he told me he would be willing to
trade the property for an iPhone 6.
"It sounds to me like he wants the (iPhone 6 Plus) version, but I think he's willing to negotiate."
Mr Else said another option would be a 32-gigabyte iPad.
However, any new owner would also have to pay some $6,000 (£3,700) worth of back taxes coming with the property.
Detroit, once the heart of the US auto industry, is seeking to end its historic bankruptcy under an $18bn debt deal.
It was the largest municipal bankruptcy in US history.
