Smart Police Dog Gets Promoted To The Post Of Detective (Photo)

Police in California has decided to promote one of its German Shepherd patrol dogs to the new title, which is the first of its kind for them.

The Dog, Jena received the distinct promotion from the Escondido Police Department after
battling crime for the last five years by helping to locate drugs.

According to Lieutenant Eric Skaja, ‘She’s not our only drug dog, but she’s probably one of the most successful drug dogs we’ve had.’

Jena was reportedly promoted alongside the police officer handler.
