Man In Jail After 6-Year-Old Girl Claimed She’s His Girlfriend

A 23-year-old man, Reginald Augustus of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was arrested after a young child told her mother that Augustus slept in her bed.

The victim's mother was discussing with someone about Augustus, during which she said that Augustus “never had a girlfriend.” The 6-year-old girl, who overheard the conversation, felt her mum was wrong, as such told her that Augustus does have a girlfriend.“I am his girlfriend,” the 6-year-old said. The mother asked the girl if Augustus had ever touched her, and the girl replied yes!

According to the little girl, Augustus sleeps with her under the same blanket, and he touched her as
well. The 6-year-old later told a detective that Augustus once touched her inside her pajamas, bottoms and on top of her underwear. She  further stated that she told Augustus to stop, and he did, but she never told anyone because she didn’t want to get him in trouble.

The accused, Augustus is however being held in the county jail and his bail was set at $25,000.
