Record Breaker: Nigerian Wins World Scrabble Championship

O yeah! We are gifted and we know it. A 32-year old Nigerian, Wellington Jighere beat Englishman Lewis MacKay with four straight wins in the best-of-seven final round at the World English-language Scrabble Players' Association championship in Perth, Australia, yesterday.

President Muhammadu Buhari has wasted no time in congratulating Wellington Jighere after winning the world scrabble championship. Jighere is the first African to win the title.

"I called to rejoice with you over your performance. You have done the country proud, and we are very happy," it quoted Mr Buhari as telling the champion. BBC
