Secondary School In Shock As 20 Female Students Are Confirmed Pregnant!

Omo, see gobe!

The administration of the school in Bungoma County was left in utter shock after they found out that 20 girls at the institution were pregnant.

The discovery at Chelebei Secondary school came to light following the school’s routine
check-up usually conducted after students resume from their holiday breaks.

Deputy Principal David Emachar stated that:

“It was a simple pregnancy routine test that we normally carry out when the girls report back from holiday and from the results we discovered that 20 of our girls were pregnant”.

According to Mr Emachar, among the 20 teenagers aged between 14 and 20 were 4 – Form Four students while the rest spread in the other classes.

Teachers blamed the incident on lack of boarding facilities at the school.

The shocking incident is coming barely two years after a similar situation occurred at a neighbouring PRIMARY SCHOOL – Chepkurkur Primary School in Mt Elgon – where 18 girls were found pregnant! All 18 had to drop out of school after they were impregnated.

Bungoma County Director of Education, Charlesworth  Anyika on Monday however demanded that the girls be allowed to continue with their studies despite their state.
