A woman has been detained for having sex with the boyfriend of her daughter.
The 44-year-old woman, identified as Elaine Goodman, has been charged with third-degree and
fourth-degree rape for seducing and having sex with the 13-year-old boyfriend of her 13-year-old daughter.
Police investigation revealed the single mother groomed the boy by repeatedly sending erotic text messages which ultimately made him easily give in to her solicitation.
The Smyrna Police Department received a report in March alleging there was an inappropriate relationship between Goodman and the 13-year-old.
Investigations revealed she had contacted the minor via text message and met up with him to have sex on the night of March 15.
Goodman was sent to Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Center with her bail set at $225,000.
