In a new interview with a radio station, Wiz talked about what marriage means to him and explained that it goes beyond break up, especially where children are involved.
He said:
“Y’all don’t understand what loving somebody and being married means,” he tells the
interviewers. “This is bigger than life. This is spiritual. You embrace your own part and you work on your own part for the rest of your life. Till the end. That’s what the marriage is about: the end. Not just this ten years you stay together and break up.”
When the interviewer says he thinks giving Amber Rose a million dollars and still paying her $17k a month is ridiculous, Khalifa refused and said “That’s marriage. That’s the business part of it.
“Aint nobody gonna take care of her better than me,” he continued, adding that even though he gave her a million dollars and still pays her the $17,000 a month on child welfare, their marriage is spiritual even though they are now divorced.
It would be recalled that Amber Rose filed for divorce in September 2014 citing irreconcilable differences, and the settlement finally came through early this June. Now Khalifa talks about their life after divorce, noting that he will never turn his back on her because he deeply loves her.
