Dino Melaye Threatens To Beat Up Tinubu, As Senators Vow To Impeach Buhari Over Saraki, Ekweremadu Forgery Case

Senator Dino Melaye has reportedly threatened to beat up Senator Oluremi Tinubu – wife of Bola Tinubu, who is the leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) of which Melaye is also a member. This happened during a rowdy closed door meeting where some senators discussed the proposed trial of the leadership of the senate for forgery, Sahara Reporters is reporting

The senators at the meeting also threatened to impeach President Muhammadu Buhari over the forgery trial, the website is alleging.

According to the website, during the meeting, Melaye (APC Kogi West) said in his remarks that the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, must be brought before the Senate to be thoroughly grilled and humiliated for charging the Senate leadership with forgery in court.

Melaye allegedly told the Senators in attendance to fight the presidency to a standstill. After several threats by Melaye, Senator Remi Tinubu (APC Lagos Central) said the Senate should not be reduced to a kindergarten where Senators could just issue childish threats, and called on Senators to close ranks and seek reconciliation amongst its members.

Melaye then  flew into a rage, calling her names. “I will beat you up on this floor and nothing will happen,” he threatened.

The statement caused some commotion on the floor as Senators in her support gathered to protect her.

Sahara Reporters also report that Senate President Saraki nodded as Melaye called Mrs. Tinubu unprintable names; this is according to Senators who intervened to save her from the rampaging Melaye.
