Kanye West Hospitalised After Cancelling Tour

TMZ reports that Kanye West was admitted at the UCLA Medical Center yesterday for psychiatric evaluation after abruptly cancelling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour. According to reports, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call of a “disturbance” at about 1:20 p.m. on
Monday  and upon arrival, authorities discovered it was a “medical emergency” involving West. He was immediately transferred to the hospital by paramedics via ambulance.


Kanye is said to have refused to follow the paramedics and ‘was restrained when he was transported.’

The sad news of Kanye’s hospitalisation comes after a tumultuous week for the rapper, following a series of rants, walk-offs and no-shows at his concerts. Over the weekend, the father of two made headlines when he went on an explosive rant in Sacramento, taking heavy shots at Beyonce, Jay Z, Mark Zuckerberg, and others. Prior to that, West had broken down during his California show after playing a video of Kim Kardashian a few weeks ago.

“I can’t have a show where I can’t perform, I’ll do better next time” the Fade singer stated before cancelling the show.

Sources close to Kanye are saying that he is only getting checked out by one of his doctors for severe sleep deprivation and exhaustion, shutting down rumours about his mental health. There are speculations that West’s ‘break down’ could be due to the effect Kim’s robbery had on the family, as well as him missing his mother, Donda West, who passed away around this time.
