60-year-old Man Beats Wife To Death In Lagos

A 60-year-old man identified as Saka Olainukan, was brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos earlier today for allegedly beating his wife to death.

The presiding magistrate, Tolu Idowu ordered that Olainukan should be remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons, pending an advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions.

According to Sgt. Jimah Iseghede, the accused committed the offence on July 21 at 3.30am at No. 10, Razak St., Ajegunle, Lagos. He alleged that the accused had beaten his younger wife Mekuleyi Mekuleyi, 36, to death for being troublesome and promiscuous.

The case has however been adjourned until October 30.
