Police Arrests Two Over Leak of Game of Thrones Season 7 Episode 4

Two people have been arrested by police in India in connection with the leak of the fourth episode of the currently airing Game of Thrones Season 7.

The two suspects are employees of Prime Focus Technologies, a firm which stores and processes Game of Thrones episodes for Star India.

The leak of episode 4 – ‘The Spoils of War’ – occurred a fortnight ago, just a few days after HBO was hacked. However, the leak was not related to the hack as it emerged the episode was stolen from an Indian partner of HBO, Star India.

Preliminary investigations show the two employees ID’s were used to access the servers from which the leaks occurred. Abhishekh Ghadiyal and Mohammed Suhail have thus been booked for violating India’s Information Technology Act of 2000.

Investigations into the incident continues.
