Python Turns Against Snake Charmer During Live Show

A live show went awry for a snake charmer as he narrowly escaped death after a deadly python coiled around his neck and almost strangled him.

The incredible incident happened in Uttar Pradesh, India, where a crowd – which first thought it was
an act – watched in horror as the python coiled harder around the neck of the charmer who incidentally owns the snake.

The unnamed snake charmer initially picked up the giant snake and allowed it to sit on his shoulders as he welcomed the crowd, but the snake soon slithered up the man’s body and started to wrap itself around his neck.

At first, the man appeared calm and continued to motion people to come closer. However, thirty seconds later, he kneeled on the ground and appeared to be having trouble breathing.

People watched in horror as he toppled over onto the sandy ground after trying in vain to force the snake off his neck.

It was at that point that a man from the crowd stepped in to help. He sprinkled water on the snake and eventually the python slithered away.

Reports claim the snake charmer was then rushed to a nearby hospital in Varanasi.
