I found this very true and interesting so I decided to post it as the post of the day.

The Difference Between Job and Work
To most people, job and work are one and the same. Both are often used interchangeably. This leads to a lot of confusion, leading many to believe that financial freedom means firing your boss and starting a business or sailing around the world. Both words seem to mean the same thing, as they can often be used to refer to the same thing – working. However, there is a difference, and that difference makes a world of difference. Knowing what each of the words mean can help you determine where you are, and where you need to go.
JOB
Job is something you do for the sole purpose of getting paid. Typically, it is not something you really love to do. You are doing it for the money. If you had an option, you would simply walk away without one look back. It is like a marriage of convenience. You don’t love the person, but you go in all the same for what you can get – status, financial security, protection etc. You are in this marriage but your heart is outside yearning for love. Most employees belong to this category. They don’t love their jobs. Some hate their jobs while others tolerate it. Their consolation is that they are working for their children and their retirement. They are perpetually complaining about the pay, their bosses, company policies, slow career advancement, politics in the work place etc.
Most people get in this position for two main reasons:
1) It was the only job they could get. This group is forever looking for a better job
2) What they would love to do does not pay well, hence they went for greener pastures.
The first group know they don’t belong there. They are still searching. Chances are, they will find what they are looking for with time, that is if they know what they are looking for. The second group is where the main challenge is. They have settled, and accepted their fate. What they would love to do cannot support their stand.
