THE CONCEPT OF FRIEND ZONE (FELLAS ONLY)

Don’t miss out on this dear *winks* Youthful relationship is the order of the day in the society we live in today. A guy who is single and searching will definitely love to settle with a diva; someone he will be proud to introduce to his friends as his girl friend. I personally, will love this too (winks). Our wishes as guys sometimes fail to come true as we do not sometimes meet the demands of our ‘dream girl’. Take a step out of such friendship and MOVE ON!!. This brings us to the concept of friend zone..lolz. According to wiki, “friend zone” refers to a platonic relationship wherein one person wishes to enter into a romantic or sexual relationship, while the other does not. This definition makes me laugh each time I go through it…Alas! for he that finds himslef in this platonic relationshp and is oblivious, Wiki went further to say that once the friend zone is established, it is difficult to move beyond that point in a relationshp *holds laugh* I will say there are two types of friend zones; that which d boy puts himself into and that which she puts him into. The former as far as I’m concerned is worse because he befriends her, never asks her out and yet hopes dat one day a miracle will happen. The girl in most cases may know his wishes but will keep silent as its a gal thing, he becomes her squire and ‘bestie’ and it bcomes very unsubtle to folks that no strings are attached, she introduces you to lots and lots of her friends and it will be so sad to know that people will be aware of your role in her life. Experience, beeing a good teacher has taught me lots of lessons, I had these shoes on at a certain point in my life. I got close to her, closer and closer I got and hoped that the next day will bring good news. Our proximity increased with increase in my hope, hope that one day something different will happen. Behold that day came, something different happened.. She gave me a box of letters, I checked them and saw that they were wedding invitations. In her words, “hey dearie remember I told u abt Michael…Guess wat?? He finally proposed to me and our wedding is coming up in three weeks time, please help me distribute these invitation letters to your friends”..lolz. Imagine putting on a sad, straight, shocked and smiling face simultaneously, that’s exactly how I looked. Dudes, don’t do this to yourself abeg! The second one is the type she puts you in and it’s very common, because no guy is above being turned down by a girl, the problem here is ‘relenting’ and doing so helps her achieve this zone. its much easier to leave this zone as compared to the first. My piece of advice is to leave once you are turned down, you only make several attempts when you are very sure she wants you, but she wants you to show her how much you want her.
