How To Leave Your Job Like A Rock Star - CNN Ex-Reporter Shows How To (Video)

At one point or another, everybody has had a fantasy about quitting their job in the most bad-ass way possible. However, most people never go through with it if they actually quit because they’re either too shy or need to be on good terms for reference purposes.

CNN political reporter Lisa Desjardins was
unable to quit the network in a bad-ass way because she was laid-off. But she did however manage to leave the CNN and say her goodbyes in a bad-ass way and even shared it with the world on YouTube!
The video starts off very innocent with Desjardins thanking CNN for all of the good times she had as a reporter (while taking some nice passive-aggressive shots at the company), but then it quickly took a turn making it so much better.

Desjardins then exposed the general phoniness of past laid-off CNN employees by showing the most used words in company-wide “goodbye” emails vs private emails via a word cloud.
The reporter than made the video even more comical by raiding a supply cabinet and stuffing notepads, pencils, and other office supplies into her bag while she spoke with the camera. She even managed get a dig on Congress and other political reporters:

“I’m also sorry that Congress is such a complete mess right now. But maybe that means we should watch them more closely. As a side note, I’m concerned that members of Congress could put the entire text of Fifty Shades of Grey into a bill and nobody but maybe me, Jamie Dupree of Cox Radio, and a few lobbyists would ever notice.”
But my description does this video no justice. Without further introduction, here is Desjardins’ awesome “goodbye” video:
