Ondo House Of Assembly Issues Impeachment Notice To Deputy Gov. Alli Olanusi

About a week ago, I reported a staged protest by the National Association of Ondo State Students (NAOSS) demanding that the Ondo State House of Assembly should impeach the Deputy Governor of the state, Alhaji. O well, they just might be getting what they wished for. The Ondo State House of Assembly on Tuesday served Deputy Governor, Ali Olanusi with an impeachment notice. According to reports,
“the seven-count notice of impeachment issued against Olanusi was endorsed by 20 out of the 26 lawmakers in the House.”

His alleged offences include absence from official duties and financial misappropriation. It is however worthy of note that Olanusi defected from the PDP to the APC, barely 24 hours to the March 28th presidential elections.
