Reader's Mail: Help! She Really Smells Like Pee....

While I was basking in the euphoria of the weekend, a blog reader who wishes to remain anonymous sent in this mail:

“Hey Paul, kindly post something on body odour and personal hygiene. I have a target audience in a guy and one babe I know, and they happen to be an ardent fan of your blog. The worst of them which bothers me the most is the lady. She is a matured University student like myself but she really smells like pee, I don’t know why. Just like a lot of our colleagues, I don’t know how to tell her in a way that won’t instigate beef. It will really make sense if you can help out with this. Thanks.”

So, in the spirit of oneness and progress which we share on this platform, I would like to humbly drop a few lines on our beloved blog reader’s request.

What's body odour?  It's simply an unpleasant smell which is produced by bacteria on the skin that breaks down the sweat into acids. This body problem usually can be managed by getting rid of excess skin bacteria which are responsible for the smell –and keeping the skin in the affected areas (usually the armpits and the private region) clean and dry.

Body odour is an unpleasant problem that can affect a person's confidence and self-esteem, as such paying attention to personal hygiene is very important. As a matter of fact, ladies really need to pay extra attention to their body considering their structure and nature. While a man can urinate without extra clean-up, a lady who dares such a couple of times would end up smelling like pee and risks having infections due to how their private region is built. This is why it is very
necessary for ladies to move around with tissue papers, so they can answer the call of nature properly, clean up and smell nice.

Below are a few helpful tips on how get rid of body odour:

1. Wash your armpits thoroughly using an antibacterial soap.

2. Take a warm bath or shower every day to kill the bacteria on your skin. On hot days, you may need to have a bath or shower twice a day.

3. Use a deodorant or an antiperspirant after bathing or showering.

4. Regularly shave your armpits.

5. Wear natural fibres, such as wool, silk or cotton. They allow your skin to breathe, which means your sweat will evaporate quicker.

6. Wear clean clothes, and make sure you wash your clothes regularly.

7. Limit the amount of spicy foods you eat, such as curry or garlic, because they will make your sweat smell. Evidence also suggests that eating a lot of red meat tends to make body odour worse.

Hoping these few words help a brother and sister out there. Toodles.
