Self-Defence: Man Bites Off Armed Robber's Ear In Abia!

As part of self defence against a robber, a resident of Ukaegbu Road, Ogbor Hill in Aba area of Abia State identified as Ndubuisi Mba has bitten off the ear lobe of an alleged armed robber identified as Chijioke Ikechi.

According to information gathered by sources, Ikechi alongside three other members of his gang stormed the residence, dispossessed their victims of N300,000 and in the process inflicted a machete wound on a resident.

As residents of the area heard of the robbery, they reportedly sent a distress call to a police patrol team just as one of the victims held on to Ikechi after biting off his ear lobe! When his other gang members sighted the police, they fled.

Narrating the incident,to Daily post, a resident said:

“We heard shouts that armed robbers were robbing near our house and called the police, who did not
waste in responding....When they saw the police, some of the armed robbers ran away. The victim held on to one of them and the police arrested him. We commend the Police team for responding to our call.”

Confirming the incident, the State Police Spokesperson, DSP Ezekiel Udeviotu Onyeke, Stated that items such as machete and an iron pipe fitted with wood, resembling a gun were recovered by the police from the gang.
