London Bound Flight Makes U-Turn Back To The Airport After Rat Was Spotted On Board

Wow! A little rat is that dangerous after all. An Air India flight heading for the UK had to turn back after a rat was seen on board, according to passengers.

Flight AI 131 was heading to London from Mumbai on Wednesday when the rodent was
spotted.
Upon staff being alerted – while the plane was travelling over Iran – the plane turned back.
A replacement flight was arranged for passengers, while the plane was fumigated.

Air India said its engineers were examining reports of a rodent being behind the mid-air emergency manoeuvre.

However a spokesman said “the presence of the rodent was not confirmed”.
He added that the decision to turn back was for passenger safety.

Rats have the ability to cause mechanical problems on flights by chewing through wires.
