140-Character Limit Is Here To Stay - Twitter CEO

Contrary to the rumours that Twitter may be opting for a 10,000-character limit abandoning it's trademark 140-character, the CEO, Jack Dorsey has insisted that tweets are not getting any longer than 140 characters(thank goodness).

Dorsey, in an interview on NBC's Today Show, said, "It's staying. It's a good constraint for
us and it allows for of-the-moment brevity."

Technology news website, Re/code reported in January that Twitter was building a new feature that would allow tweets as long as 10,000 characters.

Following the report, Twitter declined to comment on the feature directly. However, CEO, Dorsey tweeted on the same day that the company had seen more screenshots of text posted as a way to get around the 140-character limit.

Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey  has however made it know that the 140 characters limit won't be changing  anytime soon as it is here to stay.
