Joseph Yobo Is Set To Bring Rooney, Drogba, Eto And David Moyes To Nigeria

Joseph Yobo who has announced his retirement plans is set to to commemorate his exit from the beautiful game with a testimonial match tagged ‘The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game’.

Speaking at a press conference held on Tuesday at the Eko Hotel and Suites, the 35-year-old said the testimonial match would feature world-renowned players whom he has played with over the course of his career.

He said since word got out that he was organising a testimonial match, a lot of people have indicated interest in being involved.

Yobo further revealed that Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto and his former Everton colleague, Wayne Rooney are possibly going to feature in the match.

added that his erstwhile boss David Moyes would be coming into the country for the game which is to be played on May 27, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

In his words: “My former manager David Moyes has said he’ll come. I was his first signing and I’m honoured he has agreed”.
