Police Arrests 7 Women Accused Of Selling Agbo That Causes Security Guards To Fall Asleep

The Ikoyi Division of the Nigerian police led by it DPO, SP Tijani Mustapha reportedly arrested 7 women who allegedly sell alcoholic drinks that make security guards and domestic staff fall asleep.

PM News reports that the suspects were arrested at Falomo, Ikoyi Club, Mosley Roads and Thomson street, Ikoyi, after residents of the Ikoyi area alerted the police. The suspects are Toyosi Ismail, 22, Shola Salami, 30, Taiwo Azeez, 20, Aderele Deborah, 22, Aderele Elizabeth, 20, 0lalere Tobi, 21, and Fatimo Ade, 25.

The woman were arraigned before the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos on charges of felony to wit, unlawful possession and display of suspected harmful herbal and alcoholic drinks. The women pleaded not guilty to the allegations, and the Magistrate Mrs S.K. Matepo struck out the case, discharged and acquitted the women when the police could not convince the court that the drinks the women sell were fake or harmful to health.
