Going by reports from reliable sources, Arsenal football club board have ordered their manager, Arsene Wenger, to get ready to spend big this summer, or his days may be numbered at the club.
According to a report in the UK Sun, the Frenchman has been told to strengthen his squad with marquee signings at the end of the season, else he will not be offered a new deal.
The Gunners have about £159m in cash reserves, probably more than any other club in the world. But Wenger is notoriously known to be a slow dealer in the transfer market.
Wenger is however not expected to be sacked no matter how Arsenal’s season pans out, but the board is ready to give him an ultimatum ahead of the final year on his current deal.
