Months after parting ways with Ubi Franklin and his Made Men Music Group (MMG), Iyanya has found a new home with Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records.
Iyanya who clocks the big 30 today, joins the elite group of music artistes
like Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Aphro Di’ja and others, who have entrusted their careers to the able hands of the supreme Mavin dynasty boss. Don Jazzy is known for producing hit tunes mainly for the artistes signed under his label and Iyanya is set to enjoy the maestro’s touch.
Don Jazzy took to twitter to welcome the newest member of the family by sharing a picture of himself and Iyanya in the studio and tweeting; “SMD is pleased to welcome @Iyanya to the Mavin Family. Pls join us to welcome him & let the world know that we #Up2Sumting. #MavinActivated”
This development comes as a surprise as many had assumed Iyanya would float his own record label upon cutting ties with long term friend and business partner Ubi Franklin in July, and firing the latter as his manager.
