Putin Grants Russian Citizenship To Actor Steven Seagal

If you are not a big fan of actor-Steven Seagal, it doesn’t really matter because Putin adores him and he has even granted the actor a Russian citizenship.

Seagal, 64, has been a regular visitor to Russia in recent years and has defended Putin’s policies–he
has also accompanied Putin to several martial arts events.

Seagal once called Putin “one of the greatest world leaders if not the greatest world leader alive today.” He also has said, Putin “cares more about Russia than anybody I know and he’s not afraid to stand up and do what needs to get done.”

Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Putin told reporters that Seagal “has been insistent for a long time in asking to be granted Russian citizenship,” adding that “he is known for his warm feelings to our country, he never made a secret of it, and he’s also a well-known actor, which gave grounds to make him a Russian citizen.”
