Actor Reveals The Return Date For The 7th Season Of 'Game Of Thrones'

Winter is coming, and finally we can put a date to it, thanks to one actor who might have gone off script.

We all knew the show was set for a summer return instead of its usual springl ine-up – but when exactly in the Northern Hemisphere summer it was supposed to debut, nobody knew.

Liam Cunningham, who plays the indefatigable Davos Seaworth, has now put all of us fans out of our
misery, revealing the show’s return is set for…July 2017!

Cunningham, wittingly or unwittingly, was full of revelations about the show, including that showrunners are planning something massive for the launch. He also confirmed what has already been revealed – Season 7 is set for a miserly seven episode run.

Here’s what Ser Davos had to say:
"I’ve been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It’s July now, I think."
"There’s going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes and the final season starts (filming) again as far as I know in September."
