Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez Is Heading To Bayern Munich?

Arsenal's failure to finish in the Premier League's top four for the first time in 20 years has led to renewed speculation about what the future might hold for Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez has been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, but reports last month suggested Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich had entered the fray with a £50million staggering bid.

Now the Sun says Bayern are set to step up their attempts to bring him to the Allianz Arena, with Chile international teammate Arturo Vidal encouraging them to make a move.
Sanchez "is reportedly set to leave after the failure to qualify for the Champions League," with the forward having recently been watched by Bayern technical director Michael Reschke.

And the Sun adds that Vidal wants the Bayern board "to pull out all the stops" in their attempts to bring him to Bavaria.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper David Ospina could be on his way to Turkey after becoming frustrated by a lack of first-team opportunities, the Mirror reports.

Second-choice Ospina, who has two years remaining on his contract, is in talks with Fenerbahce and "is determined to quit, with the club set to sanction a move."

His departure could see manager Arsene Wenger "look for a long-term successor" to Petr Cech, with Stoke's Jack Butland and Sunderland's Jordan Pickford among the preferred options.

In other news, 28-year-old Sanchez was named with a Bayern badge next to his name during La Roja's latest squad announcement but it was quickly corrected.
Sanchez has been in a long-running contract stand-off with Arsenal, and the club have offered him around £250,000 a week with a year left to run.
