World’s Most Expensive Earings Sold At Auction For $57m

A pair of earrings have become the world’s most expensive after they were sold at auction for $57m.

New York’s Sotheby’s set the new record with their auction, the sale of the pair of diamonds earrings, one blue and one pink coloured one.

The two are named “Apollo Blue” and the “Artemis Pink’ and the new owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has renamed the 14.54-carat blue diamond “The Memory of Autumn Leaves” and the 16-carat pink diamond “The Dream of Autumn Leaves.”

The earrings were valued at $50m to $68m, with the winning bid being the $57m.

The previous record for earrings was the “Miroir de l’Amour,” two pear-shaped white diamond earrings sold by Christie’s for $17.7 million last year.
