‘Black Panther’ Becomes Top-Grossing Superhero Film of All Time in U.S.

Reports have it that Black Panther is now the top-grossing superhero film of all time in the United States.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the film, directed by Ryan Coogler, achieved the milestone on
Saturday after beating fellow Marvel title, The Avengers, which reportedly grossed $623.4 million in 2012. Also, Black Panther has now become one of only seven films to ever earn $600 million or more domestically.

It cost $200 million to make before marketing.

Hollywood Reporter adds that the film has earned over $1.2 million worldwide till date, and it is expected, by the end of Sunday, to beat Ron Man(which earned $1.214 billion), and become the third-biggest comic book adaptation behind The Avengers ($1.5 billion) and Avengers: Age of Ultron ($1.4 billion).

Well, we are guessing filmmakers will be churning out more black hero movies?
