Kanye West Parts Ways With Manager Scooter Braun

Kanye West is parting ways with Scooter Braun. The G.O.O.D. Music boss is reportedly splitting from his management team amidst reports of his erratic behavior.

Insiders claim West hit Braun and his lawyers with an ultimatum, to work with him full-time or part ways. Braun, whose high-profile clients also include Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, declined, according to news from TMZ.

Sources also say that Kanye is “acting erratically.” They are quick to point out, however, that he isn’t on the verge of hospitalization.

West and Braun, who started working together in 2016, reportedly remain on good terms despite this apparent schism. However, Kanye wants to have an in-house crew work on his music. They may continue working together in the future.

In March, Kanye also walked away from his longtime manager Izvor “Izzy” Zivkovic, who he’d been working with since 2010. Earlier this month, a report claimed Kris Jenner started guiding Kanye West and Travis Scott’s careers. Soon, Kylie Jenner denied that her mother was taking on a management role in their careers.

West has a lot of music to promote. He produced albums for a variety of artists that are scheduled to arrive this year, including Pusha T (May 25), Nas (June 15), and Teyana Taylor (June 22). Additionally, he’s also dropping a new solo album (June 1) and a Kid Cudi joint project as Kids See Ghosts (June 8). He is also working on a philosophy book in real time.

Kanye’s political views have raised eyebrows in recent weeks. Many criticized his stance on President Donald Trump, who he apparently loves, and his celebration of right-wing conservative Candace Owens, who he recently praised.
