Woman Sets Husband On Fire For Refusing To Take Her To A Buka

One 30-year-old Bukola Olusegun has been arrested on charges of assault after allegedly setting her husband on fire because he refused to take her out for dinner in Ekiti State.

According to the police investigation, the suspect had an argument with her husband, 32-year-old Abimbola Olusegun, during the day about going out for dinner, as she demanded to spend
time with her husband at a restaurant, but he refused. The woman reportedly went out and bought gasoline, which she used later that evening to set her husband on fire.


Neighbors who heard the husband screaming, came to his aid and transported him to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, where he is being treated. Hospital staff alerted the police, who arrested the woman. During questioning, the woman told officers that she only wanted to burn his private parts and not his entire body.
