Two ladies were on Tuesday arraigned before an Apapa Magistrates' Court in Lagos State for allegedly beating and tying up their dad, Mr Ihiomah Ogidinta.
Flora Ogidinta, 36, and Chiedoziem Ogidinta, 29, who are residents of Flat 18, Block 3, E-Close in 401 Road, Festac Town, Lagos State, are facing a three-count charge of conspiracy, attempt to murder and threatening violence.
The prosecutor, ASP Soji Ojaokomo, said that the accused attempted to kill their father by jointly beating him and tying a rope around his neck. He further stated that the accused confessed that they
allegedly meted out the punishment on their father because he was having an affair with their late mother's friend, and threatened to do worse things to him the next time he brings the woman home
Senior Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomaiya, who ruled over the case however granted them bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till May 21 for mention.
