After winning $7.4m from suing Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams for copyright infringement last year, Marvin Gaye's family are hoping to make more money as they sue Ed Sheeran over his 2014 hit song, ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
The family of Ed Townsend, the co-writer of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Let’s Get It On’, have reportedly accused Sheeran of lifting melody, harmony, and rhythm compositions from Gaye’s 1973 hit for ‘Thinking Out Loud’.
Earlier this year, Sheeran won two Grammys for ‘Thinking Out Loud’, including Song of the Year.
It would be recalled that Sheeran was also recently sued for copyright infringement over his song ‘Photograph’.
