MTV EMA Strips Wizkid Of Best African Act Award!

On Sunday, MTV European Music Awards announced Nigeria’s superstar singer, Wizkid as the winner of the Best African Act category. The choice of the organizers however did not go down with many Tanzanians who believed that their music star, Alikiba deserved the coveted award especially as he clearly won the public votes.

Realizing their error, the organizers stripped Wizkid of the award and announced Alikiba as the winner on their website. This would be the second time that Alikiba and Wizkid will be involved in a war of superiority and for the second time, Alikiba takes the crown.

You would recall that the singers had a squabble in Kenya during the Chris Brown hosted Mombasa Rocks Music Festival when Alikiba insisted that he would perform after Wizkid as he was more popular in Kenya and in Africa. This second blow just might be the last straw and if it isn’t, we are certain that the beef between the singers has intensified.
