VP Osibanjo Pays Maiduguri A Surprise Visit

Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Nigeria's vice president arrived Maiduguri, Borno State today on an unannounced official visit. Osinbanjo's flight reported touched ground at exactly 10:43 a.m. and he is currently heading to an Internally Displaced Camp to meet with some of the displaced people of the
troubled state.

Reports have it that, Maiduguri streets are currently filled with soldiers barricading the road to ensure that the VP's convoy moves safely through the streets. Most residents of Maiduguri who were not aware of the VP’s visit were forced to return home as soldiers barricade most roads.
