Finally, some good news? If recent reports are anything to go by, Nigeria will be witnessing a crash in the price of rice next month as a result of an increase in rice production in
Niger, Enugu and Kebbi state.

Niger State now sells a bag of their locally produced rice for N7,000, while 50kg Labana Rice from Kebbi state now sells for N13, 000.

Is local production beginning to pay off gradually? Well, lets not speak too soon.
